Gravatar I was going to ask you about the Sheperd's wool - like how it compared to The 3 ply and whether cables on 4.5mm needles would look good and whether the garment would have a melt down after a bath -but some Blue Spruce jumped into my cart before I could pm you

Hmm, looking at your cables, maybe I should get you to spin me some yarn! It's getting expensive buying/trying all these yarns that would look goog in AS's patterns. Or I should just go to VY!

My neighbour in Perth (Western Australia) was from Scotland and she used to involve me in all her celebrations. I still make my shortbread with rice flour.

Gravatar I just adore the colours you chose for Alba. Ophelia is coming along nicely too.
My grand father used to celebrate Hogmanay until he married my very Welsh grandmother... they must have had some really rip-roaring arguments since they both were quite "ethnic"!
Now I'm sorry the tradition was "lost" in our family... it sounds like lots of fun.

Gravatar Pretty Alba swatch! I love Ophelia more every time I see her. How do you like the Shepherd's Wool? I'm using for a stockinette pullover, but I'm wondering how it wears.

Gravatar Lovely projects! And the Alba "swatch" is gorgeous. Those colors go so well together!

Happy New Year!

Gravatar Isn't Ophelia wonderful? *sigh*

Your colours for Alba are perfect - 17 colours?!! Oy. But then again, my Delores also uses around the same amount.

Happy 2009 to you and the puppies!

Gravatar Alba is gorgeous! I love the colors. It is so tranquil.

Have fun spinning for a sweater! Are you doing a 2-ply, 3-ply? I can't wait to see more.

Gravatar Just awesome Alba coloration. You so totally rawk when it comes to doing the combos. Don't tell Alice but compared to her.... you so totally rawk.
