When we moved last year I was given Mrs. Knitter & Pearl by one of the bus drivers and his wife. A very sweet couple - Bill asked if I could help his wife with a little knitting problem. Several cuppas, hours and laughs later I had her garter stitch scarf back on track!!! I was blown away when, a couple of weeks later, I opened my present and saw this.
She sits on my bookshelf and looks over my shoulder while I knit, but your post really made me remember the story.
