God's Love: Don't leave home without it!
Sure, it's fun to imagine Government fixed...but I won't hold my breath without a government subsidy.
I should get paid for holding my breath.

That is no longer a possibility, I'm afraid. We have just bailed out several Wall Street giants to the tune of almost a trillion dollars. This is taxpayer money that, in a fiat monetary system such as ours, doesn't even really exist.
I'm not sure who to assign blame for this one: consumers who think they deserve more than what they could afford, liberal politicians who pushed to give them the loans or the conservative politicians who pushed for the deregulation that allowed Wall Street to run amok knowing that we'd bail them out if necessary.
This is going to be a bitter, bitter pill ... and while I like to remain optimistic, I'm not sure I see anything here but a vortex that will swallow us whole.

All this talk from both parties about "fixing Washington" struck me funny.
