God's Love: Don't leave home without it!

I don't believe, from his own statements, that President Obama is a Christian. But while there's life, there is Hope.
"19And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.” Exodus 33:19

If He doesn't do it soon it will be too late. It may be too late already since Obama is getting set to cut Israel loose as has been prophesied, especially since Netanyahu is a polar opposite to his views:
"Mat 24:9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake."

I know what you mean, Allan-it seems that we may be getting near the "End Times". Can't come soon enough; I look forward to the day when not one more soul has to go to Hell.

I've always thought that a prerequisite for running for such high office would be some level of hubris and just a little bit of insanity.
Most people find life in general to have sufficient stresses and sometimes end up with some form of physical or mental distress from it.
To NOT find being being responsible for 300+ million people an astronomical level of stress ... well, I'm not sure what that says. What kind of person WANTS this job?
This really goes for any high-office official (conservative or liberal).

James, politicos are drawn to power like bears to honey...or tourist leftovers. So it has always been.
I know I've mentioned it before, so only a snapshot here:
Once upon a time, the Jews were rebelling against God, against the government He set up for them. They demanded a human king, one that wouldn't be so strict as God and His Judges.
God warned the people through Samuel that a human king would make them HIS slave-they would tend HIS gardens, raise HIS cattle, etc.
They said we don't care, we want a king!
God said okay, and gave them Saul, who did all that God had warned.
You can read it for yourself in 1 Samuel 8.
Do good people go to Washington with the best of intentions? Absolutely. Do most of them become corrupted or influenced by the power and easy money? Yes.
I can't be tempted by riches, as I live for God, and don't worry about money. If I'm to be poor, then I am poor. People such as myself get nudged out of the way by the go-getters chasing their own tails up the corporate ladder.
President Obama has only four or eight years in office, and then what? Reaching the top, peaking too early, what will he do for an encore? Sec Gen of the U.N.? Maybe be the star of his own reality series like Trump?
Watching with interest. Go Red Sox.

Amen to that, brother.
By the time Pres. O. leaves office Al Gore's balloon will have burst so there will be room to push some new crisis. Perhaps the asteroid aversion program will occupy his time. I can envision a movie called An Inconvenient Collision which will panic governments all over the world to enact legislation appropriating trillions for research in preventing and/or surviving an asteroid collision. More taxes, more control, less freedom, but hey, at least health care will be free. Yeah, right.
