My Christian friends who had been praying for me, witnessing to me did not trust that I had actually become a Christian until they read that 'Hurricane' poem. 30 years on, there is no doubt.
I'm not a Pollyanna (or the male equivalent...um...Pauly Shore?)-things do hurt, life isn't all sunshine and red roses...but the sunshine dissipates the darkness, and roses smell sweeter because of the thorns.
