Consider this-all of Al Gores and tree huggers, Greenpeace thugs and ecoterrorists who are trying to save the planet do so without once considering God.
If you trust God, there is nothing to fear. If you accept that God is in charge, what is there to worry about? What good would worrying do?
The fact that some are driven to hysteria about the environment is not evidence that there is anything to get hysterical about.
Today was earth day and a save the environment rally took place on our campus. Needless to say, there was no place to park by the time I arrived for class since all the 'lovers of the environment' had driven to the affair in their SUV's.
BTW, I suggested to my classes that they do their part by not exhaling for fifteen minutes. None complied.
It begs the question:
"Who are we saving the environment from?"
Of course, the answer is Al Gore's take on Walt Kelly: "We have met the enemy, and he is us."
Allan, those SUV environmentalists...I wonder what their stock portfolios look like.
I mean, if they are truly Green, have they divested from all the nasty non-Green Corporations? I doubt it. "Green" stocks wouldn't enable the stockholders to afford SUVs.
I doubt it Doug. They buy co2 offsets ala Al Gore, the modern version of the indulgences of the Middle Ages.
