I think DG deserves a chance to get this one right. He had to replace two coaches in one year. One appears to be a success, one most assuredly is not.
I think it's make or break time for DG. He's up in the bottom of the ninth down 2 with the bases loaded and one out.
He can try to get a base hit (would score two runs), he can swing for the fences, or he can bunt.
Karl Dorrell was a bunt. All I want is a base hit.
I think the conventional wisdom is that if you mess one hire up, you get a second chance to get it right. I think that's fair.

Guess what Paul Hackett's record was across town when he was (rightfully)canned for incompetence.
It was 19-18, with 2 wins over his rival.
(and Hackett beat some teams with winning records)

even if he goes 19-18 with ZERO wins against his rival?

McCloskey I agree with you. I am not sure if DG will have the balls to fire Dorrell if he wins 7 games next season. However, one scenario - if UCLA starts off on a bad note, we need raise holly hell asking/demanding UCLA to "Zook" Dorrell and either make him an interim coach or hire an interim coach.
Either way ... this is kind of site we all can use to get the drumbeat going, and annouce to rest of the world - that there are lots of UCLA fans and alums who are sick and tired of mediocrity of UCLA football.
What is cool is if you run a google search right now on Fire Karl Dorrell this is the first site that is showing up. How much you want to bet is that reporters will be stumbling on to this site, if UCLA starts off on a bad note and are doing lazy google searches on Fire Dorrell. We all should keep posting and keep this conversation going on here - so that the chatter can hit the a crescendo when we reach a critical mass of discontent. It is not going to come from those boot-lickers on BRO.
