Congrats Jason.
Unfortunately, the Ellensburg legal representatives may not take this sitting down and try to charge you with something else in short order, possibly without informing you of the charge (like they did last time).
I'd make friends with someone in your local PD to keep an eye on your name for something underhanded in the future.

way to go! Does this mean I can open carry in Elensburg now?

It's only a win for state preemption. This leaves the state version of "warranting alarm" still in effect... sadly.
I would still say you could open carry in Ellensburg, just make sure you don't do that "warranting alarm" thingy, (whatever that means).
And if you look anything like a Fishorman, you might not want to visit Ellensburg for quite awhile.

Congratulations. Now what have you done for gun rights advocates other than prove that some of us enjoy provoking police and the public?
From a previous post: "He told me, "You need to calm down sir.”As if the "sir" on that order makes it polite. Now I had a public servant deciding to rule over the citizen. This was upsetting me further."
Were you looking for trouble, do ya think? Remind me not to say "Have a nice day, sir" to you and your wife. (How presumptive for me to order you around that way.)
Again, congrats on the pre-emption win, but thanks for nothing for your inviting further anti-carry legislation by showing how inadequate current laws are to keep egotists from abusing their "right" to go looking for a confrontation with the police.

Mikem is right!
If FishOrMan doesn't shut the hell up, we ALL might get kicked off the bus.
Anyone daring to exercise their rights by open carrying should be treated like a suspect and should submit to all police questioning until they can determine you are a good enough citizen to carry.
I got my permit so I can prove to them what a good citizen I am, (plus, it gets me out of speeding tickets).
That FishOrMan is going to ruin it for all of us! What a dickhead!
(BTW, police are trained to use the "Sir" loudedly and repeatedly, so witnesses will remember how polite they were being. It sounds better in court.)

Twenty months of torture, anguish and frustration. It probably cost you thousands of dollars, and your family went through hell.
Was it worth it?
Hell yes!
Maybe not for you, but it was a service to all Americans.
Your story give the rest of us hope that there IS a case for justice, and that sometimes judges actually remember the Bill of Rights.
When you first started blogging about this, last year, I was at the front of the "Pay The Two Dollars!" crowd.
I candidly admit, I never thought you could win. I can't begin to tell you how glad I am to hear that you were right, and I was wrong.
Thank you for letting me know how it all turned out. Thank you for fighting for all of us. Thank you for WINNING for all of us.
You deserve every good thing you get, and all I can give you is to tell your story in my own blog, which I have done.
A small thing, but I'm glad to admit that you have BIG BRASS ONES!
