Random drug/alcohol tests in schools? WTF!
We are going down the crapper quick.
Interesting. I don't know enough about the test to know how to beat it (although I'd start with water and caffeine loading to increase diuresis).
I do know that if a school indicates a desire to randomly test my teenager for drugs, they will be rapidly informed that under no circumstances will they be allowed to do so.
They will be told that my consent is explicitly withheld for any analysis of body fluids in any case other than that required by a court of law or by actual medical practice.
They will be told that attempts to physically observe the production of a sample (to establish a forensic chain of evidence) will be rewarded with the reporting of the individual(s) responsible for criminal sexual conduct.
They will be further informed that this intransigent attitude is not my child's, but my own, and attempts to retaliate against my child in any way in response to this will be rewarded with the Mother of all Federal Lawsuits.
I have fairly good luck with schools when I do this.
