LOCK & LOAD

Gravatar Hello:

Just thought I'd let you know that I like this post. I quoted you and linked to you on a blog I write for: politicalreps.com BTW, I am also looking to promote this blog as it is somewhat new and would appreciate any consideration you would give to linking to politicalreps.com

Thanks.

Gravatar Sorry it took me so long to respond. Computer difficulties. Am catching up and will check in asap.

Gravatar There's only one reason why we're paying through the nose for these Colt's and that's because the military distributed Colt's blueprints of the weapons to their competitors...yeah, the whole shebang of spec's. Colt was about to sue our socks off so the military offered them the only alternative; 'We'll buy yours for any price that we can remotely justify for several years'.

Well, here we are.

Rifles made for war are all about damage they can do where the .223 is designed around anti-personnel only...which is why so many complaints are about piss poor penetration and the reason the .308's are being taken out of mothballs and sent over to the sand box.

The 6.5mm Grendel looks like the right caliber to do the damage without the weight and only half the recoil of the .308 but, better ballistic coefficent.

Of course, pulling the 1911 .45 out for a Kotex 9mm sidearm was pure stupidity for several reasons also. Therefore, expecting common sense and real solutions from a bunch of pompous, egotistical clowns is like holding your breath in a space suit full of flatulence...sooner or later you're going to have a nose full of stink.
