Okay, now, you combine two guys with these names in a car with a .500 magnum. Now, tell me why a 29 and 27 year old would have one loaded in a car.
Drugs and/or gang activity pretty much nails this.

I really do not think a S&W 500 is a drug dealers sidearm of choice, and he did have his CCW. A couple of comments to the article indicate that these guys were drug dealers, one even stated that drugs were found in the car. If that were true, the Orlando Sentinel would be making that point above the fold on the front page. Anything to give CCW holders a black eye.
Drugs/gangs or not a S&W .500 magnum is suitable for car carry in places other than Orlando.
I can think of few people who would actually practice using it one handed and one of those is named Fits.
If you are in your car you may need to fire with one hand and steer with the other.
Well I kinda gotta use one hand lately as the other arm is all wrapped up. Amazing what a fella can do when he's gotta.
I agree that his choice of sidearm leaves a bit to be desired.
