LOCK & LOAD

There are whole departments that are dirty. It's like the mafia..don't squeal or else.
I've known several police officers and have some in my family. The stories they tell when they are drunk are very revealing of the true nature of the beast.
Remember the true story of serpico? The entire NYPD was full of theives thugs and murderers.
I advocate that we move to private security firms that protect property and make arrests..non union, non political, non governmental.

"Having been associated with entities far larger than the Indy Metro PD, its totally unheard of for TEN, count 'em, TEN, employees of ANY company to be connected to criminal activity, and in four months, no less."-fits
Yeah, fits, you are right about the "totally unheard of...". But not because it isn't happening, but because it just isn't being pursued or revealed or prosecuted in most departments.
In fact, this is the only department I have heard of that has done anything substantial about cleaning itself up. I predict if they completely clean out the thugs less than one in ten of current officers will still be on the job.
I also suspect that would hold true of any PD that is cleaned up.
It is time such as this was 'heard of'.

"Serpico" understated the problem because the truth would have been too hard to believe.
I don't want to believe that most cops are crooks but human psychology is what it is. Create a special class of people and they'll soon believe they ARE special and take liberties.

I don't want to believe it either, but reality keeps fucking it up for me.
