I hadn't heard of point and click hunting before, but I'm going to say I think it's crap. I started hunting when I was 12 and did so up until I graduated college. And for a full disclaimer, I do not benefit in any way from larger gun sales.
While Mr. Longtime Reader is right, hunting is not a fair fight, there is still skill involved. Hunting out on the prairie, you have to stay low and out of sight while you stalk deer and antelope, and you have to be concious of wind direction, what is in the background of the shot, and a number of other things. For hunting elk up in the mountains, you have to get there before dawn, you have to know some basic skills so you don't get lost in the woods, you have to carry around a 20lb or heavier gun for pretty much 10 hours straight, you have to know what the tracks look like, and how to follow the tracks through snow as well as dry ground. All of this says nothing about actually knowing how to shoot.
I could go on, but I fear this may already be too boring for most. The point is that most types of hunting require skills that alot of time and practice to learn. Clicking a mouse button is probly the least skillful action I can think of. Sebastian Haff | Email | Homepage | 05.10.05 - 10:32 am | #

Not to mention that you should hunt for a reason. Like to obtain food. Sebastian Haff | Email | Homepage | 05.10.05 - 12:32 pm | #
