VERY nice mittens! I love that pattern and the bird in hand one too, though I don't really live somewhere where I ever really need mittens. Too bad!
Good tip about Joann's and the swift. I had no idea they carried them! Shows how long it's been since I've sewn anything substancial and browsed around their store.

GORGEOUS mittens, Farrah! Your friend was right, and those of us who grew up in Minnesota know, mittens are better! She will love them!

Your herringbone mitts are stunning! Great job. I think the stranded mitts will make them extra warm!

Ah....a ball winder. The thing I dream about as I wind and wind and wind my yarn by hand (*Sigh*), fighting tangles, etc.

A ball winder! A ball winder! Did somebody say a ball winder! Why yes that does sound like a fabulous idea.
Your herringbone mittens look so impressive. Did they make your eyes go cross eyed knitting them? They turned out wonderfully.

Hi,,
I just came across your site. Luved it. If you still have a ball winder - i be happy to meet with it??
I am a 40 yr young male and love knitting. My bf is always wearing my skull caps that i knit for him. I just finished my first hoodie, and am preparing to knit a baby blanket.
wishing you a great new year.
