Gravatar Interesting. I'm surprised by the age of most of the films, and I'm also surprised that Toy Story makes the list, much less being ranked before Ben-Hur. WTF? Tim, your thoughts on the list?

Gravatar Sixth Sense is on the list? Clearly, monkeys have taken over the AFI

Gravatar I take all such lists with a grain of salt, unless of course it agrees with my thoughts exactly (then, of course, it is spot on). Personally though, I can see the inclusion of Toy Story (I won't speak to it's position). It was somewhat revolutionary in the evolution of animation, no matter what you think of Tim Allen. When was the last inked animated movie that made any impact at the box office or on critics lists?

Ben Hur probably dropped because Charlton Heston has turned into a gun-totin' loon.

Gravatar "Take your hands off me, you damned dirty ape!" That's better than "Soylent Green is PEOPLE!"

Gravatar Of course, Planet of the Apes is sacrosanct.

Gravatar Chuck Heston + tiny snack crackers made of humans = cinematic magic.

I wish Copeland had ranked Some Like It Hot higher. Zowie! I love that film.

Gravatar Whoops, I meant "I wish AFI had ranked..."

Gravatar Some Like it Hot may in my top 5 comedy list. Of course, Fletch takes number 1 with a water buffalo, er, bullet.

Gravatar T, I thought it was Mr. Mom, with the immortal line, "220...221...whatever it takes."

Gravatar I'm not sure Mr. Mom make my top 5, but that line is maybe one of the best ever.

Gravatar No, no, NO! The greatest movie line of all time is "If I didn't have puke breath, I'd kiss you." Or maybe "You mind if we dance with yo dates."
