PR seem to be trying to figure out how to pitch new forms of media, but don't seem to fully grasp that there are many times as many people to pitch a story to online than in the offline world. Of course, they don't all need to be pitched, since the web has influencers just like there are newspapers that are more influential that others.
Regarless, people need a story, so you'll get more coverage if you can help tell good stories about businesses and products.
