I agree with Peter. As Presidenbt Gerald Ford said in 1976 when challenged by then former governor and actor, Ronald Reagan..."There are no re-takes in the Oval Office." Too bad the nation didn't take his advice four years later. Concerning the Alaska Governor: she's just not qualified to be anywhere near the White House.

Peter,
Get off your partisan high-horse. You missed the point of my comment completely. The media WANTED her to do 15-minute photo ops. Palin instead had a series of meetings with leaders to - again, let me point this out since you seemed to miss it - educate herself. Can she get all she needs in one day? No, of course not. But she's trying to educate herself - and probably doing a great deal more that the press isn't privy to, which is just fine with me.
And please enlighten me on how Obama's grand tour of Europe was any different from what you're accusing Palin of doing. I certainly don't see where HIS 15-minute photo ops will prepare him for being PRESIDENT. God forbid.

Hey Mistie,
Get out of the fog. I hardly think a series of 15-minute photo-ops is going to prepare her to lead our nation, God forbid. Thanks for your comment.

Here's a thought - maybe Palin is meeting with these leaders to gain some of the foreign policy "experience" the liberal media has jumped all over her about not having, rather than meeting with them just to do some show pony routine for the cameras with no substance. I don't really care that the media has their undies in a wad because they didn't get the shot they wanted (and "shot" definitely has a double meaning here). I think what's more important is that Palin's trying to educate herself and actually prepare for the job of being vice-president.
