woo hoo! fame, and for a good cause!

my daughter's school has a drop-off zone. they make a teacher go out every morning to "direct traffic" -- the man is amazing, he manages to scoot the kids in, keep traffic moving, maintain a smile and greet folks, AND not get hit by cars. they cannot possibly pay him enough.

that poor cop you encountered? he's not paid enough, either.

I have never had to do the carline thing, because anytime I pick up my step sons from school, I just show up 15 to 30 minutes before school is actually out and request them from their classes. The teachers get annoyed because its an "interruption" and its hard to keep the kids settled when they know its almost go time, but hey, having your (step) mom pick you up from school early, is always awesome! So suck it, (I say).
