i completely agree.
what pisses me off about ipods is that people are using it as a chance to show off, or a fashion accessory, instead of using it to enjoy music.

Yep, iPod's are just a state of mind. Yes, I hate the fact that ppl buy iPod just for the brand, they don't take care of it and just like that.
For me, I treat my iPod video with utmost care. I asked my parents to buy it for me in the first place because my hard drive was screwing up with millions of mp3s and videos (almost more than 15gig) and I wanted to get rid of them w/out having to delete them so instead of buying an external hard drive, I opted for the iPod instead. Something handy and something I can carry anywhere. So there.. you might call me crazy but it was hard to imagine my music life before it, having only previously owned a 128MB mp3 player. 
But I totally agree with you being iPod as a state of mind, and at the end, it IS all about the music. =) Love the post!
yes. i'll only buy an iPod once 20,000 bucks becomes coins to me. but if i have to skip meals to earn that gadget, i'd rather have expensive diving equipment. hahaha. kaso lang kasi, kahit bumili ako ng iPod, mabubulok lang yun eh. di kasi ako music-lover. haha.

i had two mp3 players already. both of them are astone, they have a really good line of products. kuntento naman ako, 'do ko kailangan ng masyadong malaking disk space tulad ng sa ipod kasi 512mb nga lang 'di ko pa mapuno. iba kasi choice of music ko eh. hehe. pero kung may pera siguro ako bibili ako ng ipod na special U2 edition.

It's expensive because when you buy an iPod, not only are you paying for its features but mostly for its name.
The price's worth it though. Really. I get to enjoy my playlists when they're in iTunes. Hehehe..

haha, ang "unpopular opinion" mo ay benta po sa akin! it's not as if i could find 20 thou in my wallet everytime i open it..so go for practicality talaga! hehehe.. cute nga lang talaga nila, and yes, it (in one way or another) is a status symbol. hahaha! basta may musika ok na!
Wala akong balak bumili pero parang lalo ko pang ayaw ng bumili (gulo nu ah). Ngaun ko lang nalaman na kumplikado pala ang iPod.
Ui, pareho taung favorite ang pizza hut at shakey's. D best ang pizza hut pero masarap din ang shakey's =p at hindi mo nmn pinagka-diinan na matalino ka... haha! =p Obvious nmn na matalino ikaw. Galing mong magsulat =) Ililink ko rin po ikaw =)
oh, so true! I've used two kinds of iPods already and they have just the same problem: exactly what your "complexity" topic says. I didn't know that the first time i used it, so i lost all my songs when i connected it to a different computer. O______O
But yeah, iPods are really good, when it comes to the sound quality. ahihihi

I know lots of people who just buy IPods kasi kilala yung brand. Pfrbt. Tama nga, mag-mp3 ka na lang, ganun din eh. As if you can listen to 10,000 songs in one sitting.
Pero kung reregaluhan ako ng IPod, eh di why not? Haha. Pero kung ako yung bibili mismo, wag na lang, kakain na lang ako. )

wow! my thoughts exactly. and i have my phone and it contains tons of mp3s (i even have the full high school musical OST stored in it) so i don't really need an ipod, do i?
pareho tayo ng opinion... siguro dahil wala rin akong ipod.... hahahahaha
hindi.... pareho tayo na prineprefer ang practicality.... ang habol ko lang naman ay music e.... tsaka may flash disk naman e.... the cost of a flash disk and a non-ipod player is really cheaper than an ipod....
pero... kung may mabait na magbibigay sa akin... bakit hindi di ba... hahahahaha
