They had laptops (limit one per customer) for $378, too!!! Too bad I and my whole family missed it. That said, I hate Wal-Mart, but not in the same way liberals do. I just hate the harsh lighting and the crowds. To paraphrase Randy Marsh on "South Park," I hate it, but I feel like I have to go. At least when I come back to Tennessee. Otherwise, the hour drive from DC to the nearest Wally World (TN speak for the retail giant) deters me from going. I like Target better, anyway.

Oh, they are also hacks for employing illegal immigrants. But congrats on doing Hero/Hack even though you're on break!

Thanks! I almost forgot.
I shutter to think if anyone shops at Wally World for the ambience.

You were right the first time...I think.
Congrats on finding the first word I can't correct off the top of my head! :-P

To settle any confusion:
shudˇder (shdr)
1. To shiver convulsively, as from fear or revulsion. See Synonyms at shake.
2. To vibrate; quiver: The airplane shuddered in the turbulence.
shutˇter (shtr)
n.
1. One that shuts, as:
1. A hinged cover or screen for a window, usually fitted with louvers.
2. A mechanical device of a camera that controls the duration of a photographic exposure, as by opening and closing to allow light coming through the lens to expose a plate or film.

And as far as Wal-Mart goes, I think a good mix of hero/hack is appropriate. I shop there - they have a virtual monopoly in my town; its not only a place to shop, but it has also become the social center, like a mall would be in a town with a mall. Still other stores survive. While some of their pracices regarding labor have drawn them scorn, and rightfully so, at least in my town it has been a source of jobs for many who would otherwise have trouble finding work, and it provides goods at prices more people can afford (including electronics). At the same time, I said "virtual" monopoly for a reason; there are still other places to shop, though now that Dunkin Donuts have moved into the Wal-Mart, I may officially have to sell my soul to them. Oh well, c'est la vie (for you French-hating Republicans, that means "that's life" .

I overall, I have a positive view of Wal-Mart, and don't really understand why so many lefties hate it so much. Boggles the mind.
