Thanks for the analysis/description. Its amazing how little many in the US (myself included) know about our neighbors to the north.
I didn't really know much about Canada until about a year ago, and not really until this summer. But it's a great place. I absolutely love Canada and have a great respect for the people there.
Because of this week's historic vote in the House of Commons (specific non-confidence measures are not brought forward often), the US media has paid a lot of attention to happenings there, which is wonderful. Hopefully, we'll keep watching after the election in January.

I need to correct myself; the Bloc is not the second largest opposition party in terms of percentage of vote garnered, but it is in terms of the number of seats it hold in the House of Commons.
I hope the Conservatives win this election. Under the Liberals, we have a useless gun registry that has done nothing to reduce gun-related crime and a scandal that has given rise to separatist sentiment in Quebec. Unfortunately, Mr. Harper is not well-liked by the media, but he's exactly the prime minister my country needs.
