Gravatar I've yet to read Zodiac or Diamond Age, but I'm a huge Neal Stephenson fan. He has a non-fiction book called 'In the Beginning was the Command Line', the details of which are slightly outdated (a look at operating systems and the philosophy behind them) but the overall themes are not, and they tie in nicely with his fiction (witty/geeky observations about culture, et cetera). If you haven't caught it yet, I recommend you check it out.

Gravatar Oh, yes, I heartily enjoyed "In the Beginning..." a fun essay, even, as you mentioned, if the details are a little outdated.

I haven't gotten to Diamond Age yet, but when I do, I'll review it. Zodiac was good, and tantilizingly short.
