I think we need an Accountability Act, a la Stephen Harper, don't you, Ryan S.?

I never would have seen Murtha coming. Honestly. It makes no sense that someone with that many campaign contributions would make such a directed effort to appear in the national spotlight.

Murtha aside, this is a serious issue for both parties. I agree with your call for transparency 110%.

If only your party felt that way instead of going on and on about a culture of corruption they are just as complacent in as Republicans

The problem with a fairly closed two-party system is that, particularly those inside the beltway, will never take action to weaken their own power. Probably why my dad says he has been voting for "the lesser of two evils" as long as he remembers and voter apathy is so high.
I think it is worse with the Republicans right now, but only because they're in control. Part of the '94 Revolution was the corruption displayed by the Democrats previously. We can go back and forth, but until change comes, I fear many people will still be voting for "the lesser of two evils" while us ideologues are left fighting the good fight.
