Hey I wanted to let you know, I just borrowed "herding cats" by Trent Lott from the library, I will let you know how it is.

Gravatar Democrats and those leading the opposition to the war in Iraq within the party need to come out and make it perfectly clear that we are still in full support of the "war on terror," though I personally agree that Iraq is now part of that war (but not that it was when we invaded). I guess what I am trying to say is - while we are divided deeply here at home, we need to send a united message to Bin Laden - we haven't forgotten 9/11, and we certainly haven't forgiven. We weren't asking for it then and we were attacked; we have no reason to believe he would honor any "truce" and NO reason to not continue to go after him within all legal and morally right means available.

Gravatar I'm still looking through my translated Koran for the exact passage, but the upshot is that Allah says it's cool to make truces and treaties with your enemies when you are not strong enough to defeat them, but then break those when you are strong enough to finish the job. You see, it's not really deceitful if they're unbelievers. Sounds like that's the playbook Bin Laden is working from.
