With all due respect, to call the merger of the Alliance and PC parties a "takeover" is wrong. It was a mutual decision by both the leadership and the majority of the membership of both parties. Although there was some shift to the right overall, most of the major concessions were on the part of Harper and the Alliance.
Just wanted to clear that up.
