I respect Newt for his political ideas, though I disagree with them most. I fear the fact that he can put them across in a plain and personible manner yet still seem intelligent. Dangerous is a good word. However, I don't know if the "moral values" base can get past his 1990s hypocritical slip-ups.

I view him as similar to Al Gore for the Democrats - the candidate that might be planning a late entry to come in as a "savior" when all other choices have worn themselves out by campaigning too early and boring the public. Should be interesting to see what happens.
