Gravatar I thought 97% of your article was really good. The whole "murdering babies" thing was kind of un-professional and I expected better from you than that. It really reduced the credibility of your article

Gravatar Agreed - I missed that the first time through, and it was a blow that immediatly alientated any pro-choice readers and pretty well countered your whole "Conservatives are friendly" argument.

Otherwise, its a very good argument, though a few things still baffle me. You truly sound more like a libertarian than what I envision as a Republican. You speak of an overall reduction in the role of government in the lives of Americans, yet the Republican party has become the party of legistlating morality, insisting that it is the government's role to make sure people live "wholesome" and "moral" lives. It just seems to me (and this is more of a question that an insult) that they wish to reduce the role of government in helping its citizens while expanding its role in micromanaging their lives. I simply cannot grasp the notion that government can do no good aside from shoving morality down the throats of Americans who, by your own argument, should be free to make their own choices about their own lives.

Gravatar Good article, apart from the murdering babies line, which makes it easier to pigeonhole and dismiss your POV. The Road to Serfdom reference worked out okay, though.
