Hyatt commented that the "ultra-conservative" remark was just snark -- based on the Al Gore quote he selected as a "representative quote" from Colossus.

I could only pick one passage from the whole site. I thought that was a good one except for the typos. Sorry if it wasn't representative. Hopefully people saw the part at the top of the article about going and seeing the blogs for themselves.

Fair enough on both counts. Really just glad to be included.

Yeah, I was just glad to see the piece and to be included, esp. given the sporaticness (I think I made that up) of my posting as of late. In fairness to the writer, it is sometimes rather hard to corner your opinions, Ryan. Plus, you are the President of the College Republicans, so its only appropriate to include a quote of you slamming Democrats

Just that your libertarian tendencies sometimes trancend party boundaries. Plus, you're more willing than many Republicans to "call 'em like you see 'em" as far as corruption and stupidity. On the other hand, when bump comes to grind, you are a conservative and tote the party line well on most issues. Not doubting that you actually believe in what you say, but it just happens to line up, at least with Republican orthodoxy (not Bush-ublicans).

Thanks for that expansion.
Well yeah. I chose the party because of my beliefs and not the other way around. I just think a lot of times I have different issue priorities for one reason or another.
