Protack got exactly ZERO votes from Sussex County, and only 11 from Kent County.

One of my fans informed me that Sussex was going to go unanimous. Pretty sweet.

Nothing more amusing than watching two sheep fighting to get slaughtered...
lol - sorry guys, couldn't resist. Was just checking out Carper's 60% approval rating...among Republicans...who couldn't even beat an unpopular governor...ok, i'm done.

The GOP state convention was great and it is very unfortunate we are going to a primary. I’m not in to trashing Mike Protack and respect him as a person and he knows it. However, I must support the party’s endorsement of Ting !
What impressed me the most about the convention was the young folks 18-24 in attendance. Though 51 is not all that old however, the future belongs to today’s youth. The 18-24 voters have unbelievable power that can vote out Carper and Sokola. These two, are responsible for DSTP and the dumb ass Three Tier Diplomas. DSTP = Dave Sokola Trick Parents.
Carper signed the legislation and Sokola would not bow to the demands of the community. He continues to sponsor unfunded and under-funded educational legislation breaking the backs of the local taxpayers who has to pick up the tab for his dreams. It just amazes me how the establishment led by Carper and Sokola want to hold students accountable for the adults who screwed public education but yet failed to hold themselves accountable.
As far as Jan Ting’s Viet Nam protest, that card is played out ! None of the 18-33 year old voters were even alive ! Those who fought in Viet Nam are all American Heroes who came to the call of their country. The only rightful candidate to criticize another for his role during the Viet Nam era is a candidate that served in Viet Nam. If you weren’t there don’t disgrace American Heroes trying to use their spilled blood for your political gains. Let’s worry about who’s screwing these veterans now and let’s make sure we have the candidate ensuring all veterans receive their deserved benefits. I have no doubt within the 83% of the delegates support Ting that many were veterans.
The future of this country belongs to the youth of today and if they don’t stand up now and take what is their then there will be no promised future.
Minner and Carney takes campaign contributions from Altria aka Phillip-Morris 07/2004 each $1200.00 and have the nerve to say they care about our health ! Yea yea yea, she’ll forum another committee to see how that happened,

Carper is as useless as a woodpecker on an aluminum telephone pole !
What a hero , he still thinks he reformed education in Delaware !
What about Carney who’s going to get put out to pasture so Markell can run for governor ! Is this how the democrats reward their own ! At least the republicans can go face to face and not back stab each other ! John will bellie up like a good second string team player

Your negative opinion negates nothing I've said - he's still incredibly popular, even among the 18-34 age group, enjoying a 54% approval rating. Also, I'll mention this isn't a race for governor, but for the Senate, which is a whole different can of worms. Nice try though.

Correct the orginal subject wasn't about race for governor. However, we need to look back at Carper's govenor days to judge him today becuase he hasn't done crap as a senator. When I was driving down to the convention, a song came on the radio called "Rape Me." You know the singer Kurt Cobain and I am pretty sure he was refering to Tom Carper ! Because Tom raped Delaware. I am wondering if he was part of a 60's group called, David Peal and the Lower Eastside and wrote the the "Up Against the Wall."
Let me rephrase what I said, Tom Carper is as useless as a porcupine in a balloon factory.
He wants to turn the empty coal mines in West Virginia in to homeless shelters.
It's May 1st lets open those cans of worms and go fishing ! Put you hook in and see what you can come up with as far as Skeletor Carper's legacy.

As a freshman Senator, Carper has sponsored 12 pieces of legislation and cosponsored 157. He left behind an economically prosperous Delaware that was strong enough to survive the economic downturn that came at the start of the Bush presidency. This is apart from his constituent services, which I think are really the heart of his operations as Senator. He is the most popular figure in the state, and your skewed views of his legacy are not shared by the vast majority of Delawareans (63% +).

"downturn that came at the start of the Bush presidency."
The down turn started befor Bush took office.
"He left behind an economically prosperous Delaware that was strong enough to survive the economic downturn"
He was handed the same on a silver platter by Mike Castle.
His educational polices as governor is the direct cause of our dismal state economy. Business as reluctant to relocate to Delaware because of inadequate services such as public education and not at the fault of the teachers. He pissed millions away on this fool plan called DSTP. He never came up with the money he promised to make Neighborhood School Legislation that he signed a reality. He set the stage for Delaware to become a service-based economy that once was a thriving manufacturing economy. The largest employer is the state of Delaware who is generating zero profit and is not generating enough payroll tax causing a deficit in covering benefits. So now the good people aka taxpayers of Delaware are supporting Carper Delaware legacy providing them with better healthcare and retirement they themselves have.
Though the sunrises everyday, sometime we can’t see it due to the clouds in the sky. It’s all smoke and mirrors with Carper. What piece of legislation did he “sponsored” is considered his crown jewel and how did it benefit you and I. Also, it’s apparent that those same supporters put Minner back in office. So now we have a question of character in that support network!
Also, I must take time out on this glorious day of May 1, 2006 to thank former Governor Carper for the new electric rates! Thank you Senator Carper may air conditioners thank you also for the summer off ! Thank you for autographing that peice of Delaware legislation

I'm as proud as I can be to live in Sussex today. We seem to have a longer memory than our neighbors to the north, who gave Mike Protack far too much respect and will receive none in return. Protack is already insulting the delegates and the party he allegedly wants to represent by insisting on a primary he will lose badly.
Hey! I just realized I posted this same thing two years ago! Maybe I better play some old Powerball numbers, just in case...

Claim smoke and mirrors all you want; you might wish to insult the intelligence of 63% of Delawareans, but I do not. All politicians do things that can be skewed as negative. I also love how for Republicans, all good things are magically tied to their efforts, even though economic statistics clearly show otherwise.

"All politicians do things that can be skewed as negative."
Until I find soemthing positive on Carper other then jumping on others legislation, I'll hold on to the negative. The Castle coattails her rode to power on have worn thin with nothing more to hold on to. The debates will reveal is weakness.

I think the debates will show his strength - Carper does things for a reason. Wheter you agree with his reasons or not, he usually has solid foundation for his actions. He speaks well publically and connects to the people of Delaware. He has been working for the people of Delaware for the last couple of decades, and the people realize that. Carper would have to commit a felony to lose this election.

He speaks well publically and connects to the people of Delaware.
Let’s see he told an auditorium full of young children to, “shut up.”
Also, there was the time he addressed black minorities at Frawley Stadium and commented, “You people shouldn't have so many babies” referring to black teen pregnancy.
“he usually has solid foundation for his actions.”
The is no sound foundation for passing unfunded and under-funded education legislation. With a stroke of his pen he pissed away millions dollars that could be better served in the classroom on DSTP. Harcourt Brace reaps million on the DSTP test and scoring sending profits to the parent company in the UK. Talk about the ultimate outsourcing, Delaware Education.

The Neighborhood School Legislation what did he do with the 170 million he promised for new schools to meet the requirement of the law. He promised it but signed legislation that didn’t word it.
What about the Gross receipt tax charging every business 3/4 % of the top before deducting overhead expense? Do you know how much 3/4 % of GM and Dupont is.? Also what about the little guy in business ?
All politicians are good public speakers, talk is easy. The hard part is delivering on the talk !
Don’t get me wrong, I voted for the guy 1st time around and he and Dave Sokola are the reason I am a Republican and involved in the process.
Minner was handed DSTP one of Delaware biggest money pit !
The only credit I’ll give him is he sent his kids to Delaware public schools however did he really have a choice ? Wouldn’t really look right if he didn’t
Carper now represents Delaware on national issues and when he refers to what he has done for Delaware as governor, the hair on my back stands up.
He has done nothing for Delaware but raped it ! He has no backbone like Castle or Biden (yes democrat) its no about his party it’ about him as a person/ politician. Minner knew he stiffed her with DSTP and Dave Sokola.
