Jeez - imagine if you had done the smart thing and take Osama out first? Spilt milk ... guess the most optimistic we have got is more "red on red", huh?
Listen ... Osama calls Iraq the epicentre of these wars because they are instrumental in his plan, which is not caliphate, but the US out of the middle east. He has made this clear but you weren't listening ... you seem to prefer to get all caught up in the worry of a caliphate for some strange notion. You must be thinking with your gut.
He couldn't believe his luck when the US invaded Iraq. He knew all he had to do was witness the US bog down in Iraq, and then bleed it to death. You are not going to get out of this war without spending $500,000,000,000.
Does treasury have the $500,000,000,000 cash?
What the US needs to do is sack the fools heading the Pentagon, put the military in charge of the military, the CIA in charge of the CIA, suspend Negroponte is a public square somewhere in Bagdhad as justice for all the death squads he set-up to give the Iraqi civil war a scapegoat to resolve their differences. Get someone new in the Whitehouse. Hillary or Gore - either will put you on a better footing internationally - in the White House, put Bush on trial next to Saddam for the same crime - Saddam for wiping entire villages in response to an assasination attempt on his life and Bush for wiping out entire cities in response for an assasination attempt on his father's life (it's the only logical reason left for going to war). Get someone in who can run a war, exit gracefully. And when it is all over erect a to-scale sculpture of Stephen Colbert's nuts on the site of 9/11 to remind themselves of what really makes the US great. It will remind folks of the moment when America stopped relying on being ruled by one organ, the instincts of the gut and grew some balls so the head could take over.
Goodness, I don't know what brought that outburst on ... it's your notion that you are doing well in Iraq. 94% of your combat deaths have been sustained since the heady days of 'Mission Accomplished' and that percentage can only get bigger.
