yeah, there are commenters over at Kos saying the same thing. Oh and lamenting that Pres Bush might go up in the polls--that concerns them a lot.

the MSM template will be: Zarqawi is dead BUT...
as in: Zarqawi is dead BUT Berg still hates Bush.
Zarqawi is dead BUT now he is a marter.
Zarqawi is dead BUT Iraqi oil production is still below pre-incvasion levels.

Zarqawi is dead but........
The predictable, whiney liberals will have more and bigger butts in their comments regarding this event than are found in the Democratic Black Caucus.

I for one was estatic when I heard this news; my thoughts weren't "damn, this is good for Bush"; my thoughts were, horray, this is good for America and our young men and women in Iraq, along with the Iraqi people.
There might be a slight bump in the polls, but until we see real progress in Iraq (meaning that this will actually have an impact, more than on military morale), it will still be an issue that hurts Bush. The other "buts" are unfortunatly still true. This administration has screwed up too many times, and has offended enough people that every silver lining will inherently have a cloud attached.
