What bothered me the most was that one of the "alleged" terrorists arrested by the Brits worked at the airport, and that there are large numbers of such people (Pakistanis)
working at British airports. Presumably these guys would be able to smuggle things onto a plane or otherwise circumvent security.
Similarly, I remember seeing a news story which revealed that a large number of airport workers (or was it TSA employees?) were either illegal aliens or had used false papers to apply for employment.
A modest proposal: profile the hell out of anybody who wants to work in an airport! As Jim Trafficant used to say, "Beam me up, Scotty!"
