I look at it as either way I win. Dems win the house and can sucessfully blockade president bush's crappy policies, Republicans win the house, they will do it for us, just like they have been doing.

Isn't that lose-lose? Don't you want Bush to impose bad policy to help Dems in 08?

"I'd rather run a principled conservative than lose than have Spector or Chaffee win another election." - What about Castle? I, for one, would be perfectly happy if that moderate candidate stepped aside so that a more conservative candidate could step foward. Protack for Congress?? No matter who ran, they would quickly be swept away by any given Democrat. That is the only reason Castle has the support of Delaware Republicans and the party as a whole. Of course, I am voting against him for the same reason; its all about seat counts and control of Congress this year, plain and simple.

You misstep when you call Protack conservative.
I like Mike Castle, I've talked to him several times, and I think he isn't a moderate for the sake of being a moderate. His votes reflect his feelings and not pandering (usually).
That being said, it would be interesting to eee him with a primary challenger next time around.

Stagnation hurts Bush as we have seen recently...either one of the scenarios I suggest would create stagnation. Lack of major accomplishment...without it Bush like every president since JFK is just another failed president.

Well if we are somehow able to 'win' Iraq...I think that would count, and I doubt Dem control of Congress would alter that at all...
