Gravatar I truly think Hasert's resignation may be the only way to save the Republican Congress (not that I want that to happen). This could be a banner year for Democrats, but I certainly didn't want to see it happen this way.

Frankly, I'm disgusted that a party so intent on legislating morality to everyone else could overlook such a blantant display of immorality within its own ranks for nearly a year, then simply call for a prolonged investigation to try and allow them to coast through election time. This scandal shows, yet again, how corrupt and morally bankrupt the Republican Congress has become. Its ashamed, because I believe there truly are good people there who mean well on both sides of the aisle. They just don't tend to make the news.

Gravatar I still believe that there is at the very a least, a plurality of good Republicans in Congress.

My only hope is that is does not affect them this cycle, or local Republicans, most of whom are probably very distant from all this.
