I'm guessing you still think the war in Iraq is going well and it is worth fighting? And no amount of logic or facts can sway you?

I fail to see the immmediate relevance of Jason and Mike's comments to this post, as this is not about the war, but about Woodward's reporting technicques, but I'll still answer your query in a second.
You can still question Woodward and beleieve whatever you want about the war. A true conclusion does not make every fact that supports that conclusion true. For example:
Premise: My favorite color is blue.
Conclusion: The sky is blue.
Blue being my favorite color in no may makes the sky blue. The pieces of that argument are completely independent of one another.
I think that Iraq is still on the tipping point. It could go either way, but the milirary is doing everything they can to figure out how to complete the objective of a stable and free Iraq. The New York Times:
WASHINGTON, Oct. 4 — The United States Army and Marines are finishing work on a new counterinsurgency doctrine that draws on the hard-learned lessons from Iraq and makes the welfare and protection of civilians a bedrock element of military strategy.
The doctrine warns against some of the practices used early in the war, when the military operated without an effective counterinsurgency playbook. It cautions against overly aggressive raids and mistreatment of detainees. Instead it emphasizes the importance of safeguarding civilians and restoring essential services, and the rapid development of local security forces.

I believe we need to finish the job if it is possible.
