So you are a democrat?

Gravatar I saw a great talk from him on C-SPAN last night. I'll tell you what, I think he's sharp as hell, knows what he's talking about, and is a great leader. My whole push is his policy on Homeland Security, I don't think it can get any better then that.

Hopefully he runs, and if he does, I want to see him in the White House for 08.

Gravatar Anon, care to expound?

Gravatar I never had any doubt he would run. A friend of mine met with him in 2002 or 2003 about a run for President in 2008.

I will not vote for Giuliani in the primary or in the general election. He's not remotely pro-life.

Gravatar I'm not sure how a pro-choice candidate with an open affair in his history will fare with the "moral values" voters that make up part of the GOP base.

Then again, he's Rudy, and all they have to do is show some video clips from 9/11 in commercials and he becomes an emotional favorite, no matter his politics.

Of all Republicans, he is probably the one I would most consider voting for over some Democrats...that doesn't bode well for his luck in the primaries, however. Should be interesting to see how it pans out.

Paul, I definitely sympathize, but I don't know if I would vote for the Democrat over Giuliani, which I would do in a heartbeat if McCain gets the nom.

Who do you like in '08?

Gravatar Giulani is in no way socially a repulican the man is pro-choice, and supports gay rights so in essence he embodies the ideology of a democrat.

Gravatar Rudy embodies good qualities from both sides of the fence. He's someone that can be related to on some level no matter what letter is after your name. Maybe that's what America needs. Someone who is able to see and respect another's point of view even it it's not their own. Compromise people -- it's what's been missing over the last few years.

Also, we seriously need a leader back in the White House and after 9/11 no one can argue against his ability to lead.

He's not a social conservative (or a pro-gun), but he's definitely not a Democrat.

I have a feeling that he's going to try and slide to the right as the primaries come closer.

In recent memory, it seems that when compromise occurs, conservative lose biggest. Why can't moderates compromise with us? I'm tired of this "big tent" crap.

Gravatar you support a HUGE moderate and then you want a hard liner? This is way the dems won they realized that the general public could care less about partisan loyalty and sticking to ideology.

Gravatar What are you talking about? I only said I might support Rudy if it came down to him and McCain, and no one else. I don't think it will...so your point?

Gravatar Rudy's last years (pre 9/11) as NYC Mayor were not impressive.
