Yeah, making the penny is now economically irrational. Time for us to move on and grow up in a nation. Looks like 99c stores would have to make the difficult decision: $1.00 or 95c? Actually, I guess with sales tax, it doesn't matter much except here in glorious old Delaware anyway...oh well.
