Actually, lacrosse is the national sport of Canada, having been played by the Iroquois long before the white man's arrival. Hockey originated in Europe.

Probably because of when I was growing up, I usually think of him playing for the Kings. I felt it only right to honor one of the greatest Canadians when he was playing for a Canadian team.
