Bonds is a fascinating character, and has undoubtedly changed the way baseball operates. McGwire and Sosa ma have tried to restore post-strike baseball, but Bonds has just made us all feel worse about it.
Ryan, you can't commend McGwire and Sosa while condemning Bonds. McGwire has all but admitted using steroids and few think Sosa was clean.
True. I was just talking about common perception. At the time, they were hailed as heroes.
My intent was not to commend them. Personally, I lump all three in the same boat.
