Very interesting post; I think when it comes to foreign policy, the Conservatives need to stop demonizing liberals and Democrats and start finding compromise solutions. We were close to that with Afghanistan; the neocon debaucle into Iraq drove a wedge into the two groups again. As we struggle to find a solution best for the world, opinion continues to be divided, not just among conservatives but among all Americans as to how to deal with the new reality of the influence of radical islam. Cooperation is going to be key; discussion and compromise more than argument will move us into the future, conservatives and liberals alike.
