Not so fast.
The McCain we know embraced a conservatism completely different from that of Cheney/Rumsfeld/Bush.
It his apparent embracing of those antiquated ideals, that has driven a wedge between him and his most Democrats supporters.
Sort of like what Benedict Arnold did when he decided to give the British the keys to West Point, the bastion that kept the British from pouring out of Canada into New York....
McCains choices of who he wants to impress, are the cause for his less they stellar reputation among the Democrats..........
In reality, that is just what politics "is" all about, man....
