I'm going to order one. You want me to get you one while I'm at it?

Fred Thompson scares me as a democrat - the man who seems most like Reagan is the one who isn't trying to be; he could prove to be a strong candidate. From those out right now, the Democratic field seems stronger, but we still have WAY too long to go.
If I did this, however, I would have to make Florida my hack for moving up their primary even further....this thing is really getting ridiculous as far as the early primaries. I could care less about Iowa and New Hampshire - let's have one primary day so that everyone's votes count equally and its REALLY interesting.

Mike, I am torn between wanting a national primary day, which seems to fit our electoral process better, and wanting to have a few small primaries in order to give candidiates with less cash (read- tv ads) the ability to drive from town to town convincing people they are the right person

That's an interesting point; New Hampshire almost is small enough it provides that opportunity. The problem is, as a state it is not very diverse. Maybe they should make Delaware the big first primary since we have populations simular to the nation as a whole .
If you want it more Democratic though, I think a national primary day might be the only way to go.
