Gravatar Bush is right. You don't need to develop civil nuclear power in secret. The 1st world nations will give you the sort of information you need to build safe efficient current-generation reactors which are, unfortunately for Iran, deliberately difficult to weaponize. Not that they need to develop civil nuclear power at all since they're sitting on vast supplies of oil and natural gas.

Just as Iran followed in North Korea's footsteps in ballistic missile development, they are now trying to develop nuclear weapons in kind. And if we had someone else in office, nobody would really be questioning this.


Gravatar Far from suffering a lapse in logic, Bush asked a rhetorical question. It's something they teach at Harvard. Now if he could only pronounce the word "nuclear" correctly...

Oh, and I'm pretty sure the Manhattan Project was secret, and the Israelis still won't talk about theirs, even though everybody knows about it.
