1 – Albanian claims to that land are weak at best.
2 – Serbians will want that land back for hundreds of years to come, as soon as they get the upper hand (and they will eventually) they will take it back.
3 – This is a dangerous president; those Albanians moved there 70 years ago, will Mexicans have a right to Texas in 60 years?
4 – The Russians will strike back over this – this will be a net lose for American interests.
We have a new majority Muslim state in the Balkans. Is this to be celebrated?
A wise man once predicted that if a generalwar broke out in Europe, it would be the result of "Some damned fool thing in the Balkans".
There has been a lot of bad blood in the region and we should never forget that local Muslims formed a pair of Waffen SS divisions. While ineffective against soldiers, they were rough on unarmed Christian civilians. Imagine what they did to any Jews they found.
Should we celebrate each act of separatism?
