That's still the only place I've ever seen it referred as "Hawley-Smoot" instead of "Smoot-Hawley."

Paul, economists typically refer to it as Hawley-Smoot, and often point out that the act's opponents referred to it as Holy Smokes!
Ryan, as additional reading I highly recommend The Forgotten Man by Amity Shlaes. The short version is that, contrary to the popular mythology, FDR's socialist programs turned a market correction into the Great Depression.
