Gravatar Thanks for the kudos, Ryan!

Gravatar Geez and I thought I was sarcastic. And look at all the italicized words...ooooh

Gravatar Well, on April 28th, there will be impeachment protests in towns and cities all over the country. And everywhere people will be using signs, their bodies, chalk, or anything else they can think of to spell out IMPEACH! Several cities have actions planned already, but we invite everybody to start thinking about the most creative, spectacular, beautiful, and clever ways they can come up with to spell it out. This is a spin-off of the BeachImpeach project on the shores of San Francisco where over 1,100 people spelled out "Impeach!" Find out what is going on in your town, or start your own project. Be a part of history and this media grabbing call to defend our Constitution through impeachment.

Gravatar On the bright side, if W gets impeached, he can always run for Congress and get a nice seat on the Rules cmte. (See Alcee Hastings, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alc...Alcee_Hastings)

Gravatar Haha Steve! Culture of Corruption indeed.

I was going to delete that obviously spam comment above, by 'Jodin,' but I think it proves my point about how fanatical people are when it comes to Dubya.

Gravatar Hagel has it bass ackwards. Bush would more likely deserve impeachment if he signs it the bill than if he vetoes it.

Giving our enemies a publicly-available timetable for military action would be dereliction of duty as Commander In Chief.

Gravatar Check out Ryan Mc's site. He thinks Bush could be impeached for treason!! Now I've heard everything!!! LOL!!!

Gravatar The only reason I'd oppose impeachment is because if successful, Dick Cheney would become president. I don't really think that would solve the problems that we have. If the Congress can get the 2/3 needed for removal, then it already has the 2/3 needed to override a presidential veto on laws anyway and can thus pull us out of Iraq. Has Bush broken laws? Most likely: any president that misleads a nation into a war should be removed from office anyway. The problem is, we can only do one impeachment at a time; the whole administration needs to go. Too bad we can't call special elections in the US....

Gravatar Mike, which laws do you think Bush has broken? Why?

any president that misleads a nation into a war should be removed from office anyway

One, people had the chance to remove Bush from office in 2004. Instead, the DNC ran John Kerry.

Two, do we now have some objective legal standard for "mislead"?

Gravatar "I actually voted for the Tonkin Gulf Resolution, before I voted against it."

-John Kerry, Christmas in Cambodia

Gravatar You mean besides the 750 mentioned in the article?

http://www.boston.com/news/natio...ndreds_of_laws/

Gravatar Momentarily accepting that article as true, do any of those laws constitute "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors?"
