While I enjoy this slap in the face to President Bush, I agree about your assessment in regard to it not relating to peace.

Of course, the prize is named for a man who invented dynamite and perfected other types of explosives. Just thought I'd throw that little tidbit out there too .

I don't think it is a slap in the face to Bush. I still think Bono should have gotten it.

And you can use dynamite for a lot...not just in war, if that's what you're implying.

Nobel invented dynamite for construction. After its use as a weapon, he stipulated in his will that the Nobel Prize be created and the interest earned on his fortune be used as the prize.
