I'm only ready to make one prediction so far: there will be a minority or female president or vice president in Jan. 2009. It would look bad, even if an older white male wins both nominations, if all minorities competing were excluded. One party will pressure the other to answer in kind, with the call of history being too tempting to pass up. I'm expecting an historic and exciting election season (and still have NO CLUE who I will be voting for in the primary...need to do some reading!)

Mike, what if a white Mormon male wins? Sure, it's not as groundbreaking as a formerly Muslim black male, but still...remember, it was a big deal for JFK to be first Catholic prez back in the day.
I still believe that we're not as ready for a minority Democrat (they're all too radical) as we are for a minority GOP prez, since his/her minority status would make him more palatable to the vast middle. "Huh, this guy sounds pretty conservative, but he's Jewish (or Japanese, for that matter) so he's less likely to round people up and put them in concentration camps."
