I don't know about a national security issue, but I know there are now a lot of young people who will be standing out on dark streets waiting for buses and walking to school. Don't get me wrong, I like my extra hour during the afternoon to catch up on outside work, but its nice not to go to work in the dark as well. Perhaps they should further study the costs and base their decision on real evidence instead of the opinions of people (Congress) who have more important things to worry about (everything).
