Yeah. If Bush can free a man who committed an act of treason against every single American citizen, by destroying the career of a crucial 20-year CIA agent in charge of assessing America's nuclear threats from countries abroad, as political retribution against someone who, merely by telling the truth, threatened the propoganda that lead this country into this disaster.
I guess shooting a couple of drug smugglers isn't really a crime at all. Hell, let's just forget this whole rule of law thing. Too tedious and dispassionate. Anyone guilty of a crime less than Scooter Libby is now innocent, which I guess would be virtually ALL criminals.
And yeah, Libby was found guilty of perjury, but it was his inability to tell the truth that made it impossible to get to the very, very real crime that was committed.

Fitzgerald has never said that Libby prevented him from doing anything related to Richard Armitage.

You should learn the facts better. (A) Richard Armitage did not Wilson's wife was an undercover CIA operative, and (B) he has been extremely cooperative with Fitzgerald's investigation.

Secondly, Fitzgerald did say Libby prevented him from pursuing an investigation into Karl Rove and the Vice President's involvement. His exact quote is:
And what we have when someone charges obstruction of justice, the umpire gets sand thrown in his eyes. He's trying to figure what happened and somebody blocked their view.

In essense, he's saying exactly that Libby obstructed the investigation.

God willing, yes.
rabit, the investigation was to find out who leaked Plame's name, not how often the Vice President washes his socks.
